The gcSigns File Upload online makes it easy for you to get your project files to us quickly, so we can expedite your project. Our in-house graphics department can create your sign or take a layout that you have created and deliver a quality product. All electronic graphic files you send, to use for the creation of your sign need to be at a 300 dpi resolution (see the Image Resolution tab). This includes artwork, photos and logo files. It’s important to size your files properly so we can create a quality product.
If you have more than 1 file to upload it would be best to upload them as a single compressed file by following these instructions:
1. Take all the files for the job and put them into a single folder named your company name.
2. Compress the folder as a (.zip) file using Winzip or PK Zip for Windows platform files and as a (.sit) file format using Stuffit for Macintosh platform files.
3. If your files are extremely large you may want to compress them into several archives such as companyname-1.zip, companyname-2.zip, etc. Sometimes it is easier to successfully upload three 25MB files than it is to upload a single 75MB file.
Resolution is the measurement of how many dots/pixels fit into one inch.
The higher the resolution, the sharper the image will be. gcSigns recommends a resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) for crisp, clear results. Lower resolution images appear fuzzy, jagged and blurry.
Resolution Rule of Thumb

How well will my job match what I see on my monitor?
Most people are surprised at how well their job matches what they see on their monitor. But because of wide differences in monitor calibration and the different technologies used, some colors may not exactly match the colors on a your specific monitor. We do our best to make your job look good. Take the time to review colors on your final approval before your sign gets into production.
